Marcy is joined today by guest co-host Kelley Long, a Financial Wellness Coach whose practical, women-focused advice on money will give you a solid set of ideas for managing your money in 2020.

Kelley Long, CFP®, CPA/PFS, Financial Wellness Coach
Kelley truly lives her dream of helping “everyday” people with money without having to sell them anything. She particularly enjoys working with women who are looking to learn more about money and take control of their financial futures, as well as couples who may need some third party assistance with getting on the same page about money.
After a “practice marriage” in her 20’s, Kelley is happily married to her psychiatrist husband and they reside in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago with their cats Tia and Tricky, along with the occasional foster cat guest. Due to getting married in their late 30’s, starting a family was a struggle, leading Kelley on a fertility journey including IVF, which ultimately lead to them deciding to remain childless and pursue world travel and early retirement dreams.
A little fun fact is that Kelley is a tree-hugger at heart and does anything she can to bring more “green” to the city life, including maintaining a compost bin in her home office, where she feeds the household food scraps to her colony of worms. Ever wonder how household recycling works? Ask her!
Kelley is a volunteer member of the AICPA’s Consumer Advocacy Council and is a frequent guest on WBBM Chicago’s Noon Business Hour for Personal Finance Wednesdays. She grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Lee Honors College at Western Michigan University.
Her life motto is “It’s never too late to be who you might’ve been.”
